During my study of worship that I talked about in my previous post “My Attitude”, I came across the worship of God by the 4 living creatures in Revelation. Revelation 4:8 says, “Day and night they never stop saying: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.’” I thought it would be really neat to take these words from these creatures and turn it into a song that I could sing during my personal time of worship....
My Attitude
We often treat worship and the singing of songs in church synonymously. I’ve always known that worship was more than just singing songs but I never really took the time to study it from Scripture. So I decided to study worship more deeply and go through every direct reference to worship in the Bible to better understand what it really means. Not Our Merits
Luke 7:2-5 - At that time the highly valued slave of a Roman officer was sick and near death. When the officer heard about Jesus, he sent some respected Jewish elders to ask him to come and heal his slave. So they earnestly begged Jesus to help the man. “If anyone deserves your help, he does,” they said, “for he loves the Jewish people and even built a synagogue for us....
